The 2027 Netball Super League signing window has certainly given us plenty to talk about! We’ve seen some huge names switching clubs, familiar faces returning to former teams and international stars making the move to England. There’s even been one particularly exciting player coming out of retirement! With squads beginning to take shape ahead of the new season, we’ve picked out eight of our favourite 2027 signings.
Berri Neil: Loughborough Lightning ➡️ Nottingham Forest
Berri Neil started her senior career with Manchester Thunder in 2021 before moving to London Pulse, where she spent three seasons.
She then joined Loughborough Lightning for two seasons, continuing to establish herself as one of the Super League’s exciting young shooters.
For 2027, Neil is heading to Nottingham Forest, becoming one of Chelsea Pitman’s new additions to the squad. Still with plenty of her career ahead of her, we’re excited to see what she can bring to Forest’s shooting circle.
Nat Metcalf: Manchester Thunder ➡️ London Mavericks
One of the biggest moves of the signing window sees Nat Metcalf move down south.
Metcalf first joined Manchester Thunder in 2016 before moving to Wasps the following season. She returned to Thunder in 2022 and became a key figure during her second spell with the club.
Now, she’s ready for a new challenge, joining Tamsin Greenway’s London Mavericks for 2027. With her experience, leadership and ability to control a game through the midcourt, this feels like a huge signing for the Mavericks.
Sasha Glasgow: Melbourne Mavericks ➡️ Birmingham Panthers
This is a signing that brings some serious Australian experience to the Super League.
Sasha Glasgow has spent most of her elite career in Australia, representing Adelaide Thunderbirds, West Coast Fever and Melbourne Mavericks. One of her standout achievements came in 2022, when she helped Fever win the Suncorp Super Netball Premiership and was named Grand Final MVP.
The England international is now making the move to the UK to join Birmingham Panthers for 2027. With her SSN experience and versatility across the attacking end, she could be a massive addition to the Panthers.
Jaz Brown: Leeds Rhinos ➡️ Manchester Thunder
Jaz Brown launched her Super League career with Severn Stars in 2023, spending two seasons there before joining Birmingham Panthers in 2025.
She moved to Leeds Rhinos for 2026 but unfortunately suffered an Achilles injury which cut her season short after just three league games.
Now, Brown has secured an exciting move to reigning Super League champions Manchester Thunder for 2027. After such a frustrating 2026, we’re hoping to see her back on court and showing exactly what she can do next season.
Rhea Dixon: Nottingham Forest ➡️ Leeds Rhinos
A familiar face is heading back to Leeds!
Rhea Dixon began her career with Surrey Storm before joining Leeds Rhinos for their inaugural Super League season in 2021, spending two seasons with the club.
She went on to join Loughborough Lightning, where she won back-to-back Super League titles in 2023 and 2024, before moving to Nottingham Forest for their first season in 2025.
After two seasons with Forest, Dixon is now returning to Leeds Rhinos for 2027. She comes back with considerably more experience, and two Super League titles under her belt.
Imogen Allison: Queensland Firebirds ➡️ Nottingham Forest
Another huge name returning to the Super League is Imogen Allison.
Allison started her Super League career with Yorkshire Jets in 2016 before joining Team Bath, where she spent seven seasons and established herself as one of England’s standout defensive midcourters.
She joined Manchester Thunder in 2024 before heading Down Under to test herself in the Suncorp Super Netball League with Queensland Firebirds.
After two seasons in Australia, Allison is coming home for 2027, signing with Nottingham Forest. Bringing SSN and international experience into the Forest midcourt makes this one of our favourite signings of the window.
Steph Fretwell: Retirement ➡️ London Pulse
Now this was the signing that made our jaws drop!
Steph Fretwell enjoyed an incredible career in Australia, representing Queensland Firebirds, NSW Swifts and Sunshine Coast Lightning and becoming one of the most recognisable shooters in Australian netball.
She retired from professional netball in 2025 before welcoming her daughter in 2026.
Fretwell will make her return to elite netball with London Pulse in 2027. Bringing a player with her experience and achievements into the Super League is exciting not just for Pulse, but for the competition as a whole.
We cannot wait to see this one!
Uneeq Palavi: Melbourne Mavericks ➡️ London Mavericks
If you followed the 2026 Commonwealth Games, you may already be familiar with Uneeq Palavi.
The Tongan international finished as the third-highest scorer at the Games and has worked her way through Australia’s elite pathway, including a successful spell with City West Falcons before making her Suncorp Super Netball debut with NSW Swifts in 2024.
After her time with Melbourne Mavericks, Palavi is now heading to England to join London Mavericks for 2027.
She brings another international shooting option into the league and, after her performances for Tonga, we’re very interested to see how she adapts to the Super League.
With so much talent moving around the league, the 2027 Netball Super League season is shaping up to be a good one. From familiar faces taking on new challenges to international stars arriving in the league, there will be plenty to look forward to when the season gets underway next year.
