Brighton Netball Tournament 2025!
Play Netball hosted our annual tournament on the 14th of September, and what an amazing day it was! Held at The University of Brighton – Falmer Campus, Play Netball invited all of our nearby leagues to enter teams to compete against each other for a fun, social but competitive tournament! The Tournament hosted 12 teams travelling from Brighton, Worthing, Crawley, and Tunbridge Wells. Claire, who coordinates our Brighton leagues, was our amazing coordinator for the day, supported by 6 umpires. It was a fantastic day of netball, full of team spirit and great games. We also introduced two new awards! Congratulations to Naomi from Thunderball (Player of the Tournament) and Gina (Umpire of the Tournament). A huge thank you to everyone who made the day such a success!

How Our tournaments work
Here is a quick rundown of how our tournaments work:
- There is space for 24 teams to take part. All teams must already be registered to a Play Netball league.
- There is no limit to the number of players assigned to your team but please note there will only be 8 trophies awarded to the winning teams.
- If you cannot source 7 players from your Play Netball team, you can ask family or friends to take part. There should still be a minimum of 3 of your original players taking part in the tournament.
- The tournament will consist of groups with 6 teams. You will play each team in your group once. Winning teams will then move onto further matches. If you have not succeeded past the group stage, there are opportunities for you to play friendlies with other teams.
- Team registration is £80. This will need to be paid in advance to confirm your team’s space.
- You don’t need to provide an umpire or scorer. Teams will need to bring their own bibs.
- There will be trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Apart from playing weekly matches, Play Netball also run competitions and awards for teams in all our leagues throughout the year. This is a great chance for teams to win some amazing prizes. To find out what competitions and prizes we have taking place, head over to our Competition and Awards page.
