PAYMENT RULES

1. Your £30 registration fee must be paid before the first league game. Failure to pay this will incur a £10 fine
2. Each team will pay a set weekly fee of £32, £7 of which is for the umpire.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE HAVE YOUR MATCH FEE IN A MONEY BAG/SEALED ENVELOPE WITH YOUR TEAM NAME AND AMOUNT PAID CLEARLY VISIBLE.
HAND TO AN UMPIRE BEFORE YOUR GAME.

TEAMS FAILING TO SHOW

i) If your opposition are a NO SHOW you will not be charged that week and you will have full use of the court for 30 minutes for free.

ii) IMPORTANT RULE If your own team fails to show up for a scheduled match regardless of giving notice or not, you will be charged your full match fee plus your opponents full match fee totalling £64. Basically a double match fee! This must be paid before your scheduled game.

THIS FINE HAS BEEN PUT IN PLACE TO PREVENT TEAMS FROM LETTING DOWN THEIR OPPOSITION. THE DOUBLE MATCH FEE IS CHARGED, AS NETBALL-LEAGUES.CO.UK STILL NEEDS TO PAY FOR THE VENUE AND THE UMPIRES. FIXTURES CANNOT BE REARRANGED FOR DIFFERENT DATES.

TEAMS TURNING UP LATE

i) Teams will start 1 goal down for every 2 minutes they delay the match once the umpires have made clear time has started.

ii) If a team shows up in the 1st third both teams pay their full match fee and the result will stand.

iii) If a team shows in the 2nd third the late team will be charged their full match fee plus their oppositions umpire fee (extra £7 = £39) while the other team pays £7 less (£25) and the result will stand.

iv) If a team shows up in the last third of the match, the late team will be charged a double match fee while the other team pays £0 and the result will stand.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 10 MINS PRIOR TO YOUR GAME!

MATCH RULES

1. Teams must arrive at the venue at least 5 minutes before your match starts.

2. Matches must start on time. This means all warming up, nail cutting, hair tying, bibs on etc. should be done prior to your starting time.

3. A minimum of 5 players must be on court for the match to be played

4. Borrowing players is allowed as long as the opposition agree. Players can be borrowed from the same or lower divisions, but NOT from a higher division. You must only borrow players when you are short on players, and not to strengthen your squad for particular matches. If you do not ask your opposition you risk forfeiting the match 18 – 0. Adding to your squad sheet is allowed, however it is not in the spirit of the league to add experienced players for one off matches.

5. Injury time is not permitted due to venue time. An injured player must be immediately substituted. If there is no sub, the team is allowed to move around the players already on court. The opposing team cannot substitute but are allowed to move their players already on court. In the event of a serious injury in which the player cannot vacate the court, the umpires will submit a report to Netball-leagues.co.uk who will decide whether the remaining time will be played at a later date or not. Netball-leagues.co.uk decision is final.

6. First Aid. Teams are responsible for bringing/administering their own first aid and should not expect the umpires, venue or Netball-leagues.co.uk to provide this for them. (Plasters, ice packs etc).

7. Substitutions can only be made at breaks.

8. Late Players can only come on after either team has scored a goal.

9. Player of the Match is nominated by each team for their opposition. The umpires will ask each team whom they are nominating at the end of the match. Player of The Season is announced at presentation night.

10. Abandoned games – If the last third has started the result will stand. If it has not then the whole/part match may be replayed depending on circumstances. Netball-leagues.co.uk decision is final.

11. RESPECT! Don’t forget that without umpires the league would not run. The correct procedure for any queries is for the Captain to approach the umpires at half time or after the game, NOT during. The league has a reputation for being friendly, so lets keep it that way! Netball-leagues.co.uk has the right to remove any team from the league without appeal.

The offending player will be able to return to the court at the next centre pass following the end of their sin bin period. The sin bin period does not include half time. The umpire will instruct the sin-binned player when they are able to return to the court. In the event that the sin binned player is the centre, one of the teams other players already on court may become centre for the duration of the sin bin period. When the sin-binned player returns to the court all player must return to their original positions.

In the event of serious misconduct from more than two players in a team, the match will be abandoned and awarded as a walkover to the opposition.
